I know that keeping the books for your business is not what you look foward to when you go to work in the morning. Let Scofield Professional Services save you this headache so you can focus on your workflow. I can help with any or all of these functions, in coordination with your staff. This could help with internal efficiencies while providing a professional's eye to your processes.
-
Accounts Payable
I can process your invoices and ensure that bills are paid within terms. I will print checks for your signature or will authorize electronic payment with your approval. I use Quickbooks as my primary accounting system, and they have agreements with many financial institutions which would allow paperless payment. If you prefer check payments, I can print check stock for your business and use those with my software.
-
Accounts Receivable
Once you deliver your product or perform your service, I can invoice your customers. I will also process payments and make deposits, if you like. Using Quickbooks, I can even process credit card payments. I will maintain a customer aging for you and can assist with collection calls, if necessary.
-
Account Reconciliations
I can reconcile your bank and credit card statements. I am familiar with escheatment rules and can help make the annual Ohio filing less painful. This will also assist in Financial Statement Preparation.
-
Financial Statement Preparation
Based on the information in Quickbooks, I can prepare periodic financial statements specific to your business. Would it be helpful to see profit by customer? Income by business unit or product? The reporting function in the software is flexible enough to meet many needs.
At the beginning of our relationship, I will charge an hourly rate for these services. Once we have established a baseline, I will charge a monthly or quarterly fee. The baseline time ensures that I do not overbill or underbill you. After all, even if you spend only three hours a day processing payables and receivables, I may be able to shave an hour off of that. I wouldn't want to charge you for time I don't use.
